Mission

The Auxiliary to the National Medical Association(ANMA) is a non-profit, volunteer, service organization comprised of the spouses of active members of the National Medical Association and widows and widowers whose spouses were in good standing at the time of their demise. The Mission of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association, founded in 1936 is to create a greater interest in the National Medical Association (NMA), aid and to encourage the medical profession in its effort to educate and serve the public in matters of health, and to develop and promote a National Auxiliary Program on HEALTH, EDUCATION and LEGISLATION.

Purpose

To operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in the area of health care. In furtherance of these purposes, the corporation will work to create a greater interest in the National Medical Association, and serve the public in matters of sanitation and health; to develop and promote a National Auxiliary Program on Health Education and Legislation.

Convention News

The planned Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly scheduled for August 1–5, 2020 in Atlanta will now be in an all virtual format. This means there will no longer be an in-person meeting this summer. Additional information will follow, but be assured that there will be excellent educational content, lively discussion and some surprise events. We will kick off the celebration of our 125th Anniversary which will continue throughout the ensuing year. You won’t want to miss it!
